Marlee's Secret Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies PDF Print E-mail

Marlee Matlin's husband and kids like to eat these while they are still warm!

Ingredients:

1-cup butter or margarine (non-dairy)
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
½ cup white sugar
1-teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 ½ cups all purpose flour
1-teaspoon baking soda
1-teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon salt (optional)
3 cups uncooked oatmeal (such as Quaker Oats)
1 cup chocolate chips

 

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 350 Blend butter and sugars until creamy. Add vanilla and eggs and beat well. Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt in a bowl and stir into the butter mixture. Add oatmeal and chocolate chips. Mix well.
Drop rounded teapoonfuls on to ungreased baking tray. Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and cool for 1 minute before transferring to wire rack.

Notes:

Makes approximately 48 cookies
