Susie’s Done it Again!
From the first time we opened the cookbook Kosher by Design, about 15 years ago, we were in "cookbook love". Susie Fishbein changed the food, the menus, the décor and the perception of the kosher kitchen, and she elevated kosher cooking to world-class taste and presentation. What a delicious journey it has been for Susie and her readers. From Susie: “The release of the original Kosher by Design (eight books and 480,000 copies ago) launched me on a never-ending book tour…to almost every state in the U.S. ..I have accepted international engagements in Israel, France, Canada, Italy, and Mexico. This has been life-altering for my cooking world -- safeguarding heritage vs. being inventive in the kitchen.... I have loved seeing how Jewish people live in all these different places. I have been warmly welcomed into hundreds of synagogues, homes, schools, bookstores, JCCs, and supermarkets. I have met thousands of wonderful fans and signed tens of thousands of books, some so worn and used they were falling out of their binding. . . I am humbled and amazed by the success of the books.”

Susie’s new cookbook, Kosher by Design - Brings it Home. is the conclusion of the bestselling cookbook series. The book presents 256 pages and 113 cross-cultural recipes, along with John Uher’s magnificent full-color photos to accompany each. In this final title, Susie Fishbein shares fresh and innovative new recipes gleaned from her 15-year global culinary journey. Try this side dish: Susie's recipe for Freekeh Pilaf.

We consider this cookbook a must-have for every kosher kitchen, and a perfect conclusion to the Kosher by Design series. We can’t wait to see what comes next in the Fishbein culinary world. By Mia Adler-Ozair, Feldheim Publishers

With over 90 recipes, this inspiring volume is more than just a cookbook; it is a spiritual exploration of Jewish life and its deep connections with food. The author, Mia Adler Ozair, presents the culinary delights of her family, which reflect both Ashkenazi and Sephardi heritages and a diverse collection of dishes for every palate. She lives in Los Angeles, is a licensed, practicing psychotherapist, and a mother to a blended family of 9 children. She never dreamed that she would become the author of a cookbook.

Included in this inspiring cookbook, are original guides for how to prepare meals in observance of Shabbat and holidays, how to fulfill the woman's mitzvah of making and taking challah, and Mia’s her reflections on the close relationship between food and the Jewish soul. Cook, Pray, Eat Kosher is an elevating ingredient for any Jewish kitchen. Celebrate! Food, Family, Shabbos by Elizabeth Kurtz
to Benefit Emunah of America, Distributed by Feldheim Publishers

Celebrate cover 320X480

We have known and admired the talented Elizabeth Kurtz for over 6 years. She is energetic, creative, a gifted cook, food lecturer, recipe developer, and mother of five. Her blog Gourmet Kosher Cooking pioneered the concept (along with KosherEye) of bringing gourmet kosher recipes online.

Elizabeth’s new book Celebrate! Food, Family, Shabbos is truly a celebration of delicious food and lifestyle. Her dream of writing a cookbook has become a reality, enhanced by the knowledge that the sales proceeds benefit EMUNAH* of America. For Elizabeth, preparing and serving food is all about love; love of family, love of Shabbat and love of delicious food. In Celebrate!, she demonstrates her love of food, family and Shabbat. The recipes are simple enough for everyday and special enough for Shabbos or any holiday.

Elizabeth explains: "The photos are award-winning and the recipes are just what my readers asked for, simple in preparation and beautiful in presentation… recipes in every category from soups, salads, chickens, meats, and desserts, to extra special sections like Kiddush, Shalosh Seudos, and a pantry, all packed with the recipes that are unique to those times."

KosherEye receives many wonderful cookbooks – (hoping to be featured here), but, as we shared with Elizabeth, this one is exceptional. We didn’t want the book to end, and couldn’t wait to ingredient shop and start cooking! The recipes along with their vibrant companion photos and accompanying tips are spectacular. We particularly loved the idea that the book focuses on Shabbos meals, since we are always searching for recipes to make Shabbos special, innovative and delicious, but not difficult.

Along with 200 irresistible recipes, is information and photos about flavor boosting pantry staples, cuts and cooking techniques for kosher meats, favorite basics, and make ahead instructions. Most recipes also offer Passover tweaks.

In our opinion, Celebrate! is a must have addition to any kosher cookbook library, The recipes, tips and information will be helpful to the experienced cook or the new bride. It is a KosherEye "gift yourself, gift others" selection. Each purchase benefits EMUNAH.
