Award Winning 100% Natural Condiments

The Wild Thymes gourmet condiment line of chutneys, dipping sauces, cranberry sauces, marinades, vinaigrettes and fruit based salad refreshers are fabulous!

Located in New York’s Hudson Valley in a lovely farmhouse, on a beautiful quiet country road,  Wild Thymes Farms Inc. is a "family-owned and run" business.  For many years, Enid Stettner dreamed of starting a food business and in the 1980's realized that dream with the creation of the Wild Thymes label.  Edith developed a line of 25 different herb and fruit vinegars, which she bottled by hand.  She and her husband Fred sold the vinegars at Farmer's Markets and Craft Fairs and it wasn't long before the product line was carried nationally.

In the mid 90's Enid decided it was time to expand the business.  She and her eldest daughter, Ann Stettner, traveled extensively throughout the world. They returned with inspiration and ideas and decided that they would be a great team. Together they developed the current Wild Thymes product line.

As two working mothers, Enid and Ann understand the need for deliciously healthy foods that can enhance a meal in a matter of minutes. "We wanted to help others solve the eternal problem of getting a delicious, healthy meal on the table in fast food preparation time." said Ann.

The ethic influence from all over the world - Asia, Africa, Europe, India, North Africa, Korea - is the basis for the unique and delectable combinations of flavors and ingredients. This global influence is reflected in the product names that so aptly describe the contents of each jar: Tropical Mango Lime Marinade, Indonesian Peanut Sesame Dipping Sauce, Moroccan Spicy Pepper Dipping Sauce, Caribbean Peach Lime Chutney, Tuscan Tomato Basil Vinaigrette and Black Currant Salad Refresher (Voted a Flat Belly Food by Prevention Magazine).

While innovative and sophisticated, the Wild Thymes line is healthy, extremely versatile and very simple to use. The products are 100% natural, kosher (certified by KSA), low in carbohydrates, calories, fat and salt, free of cholesterol, sulfites, saturated and trans fats and almost all are also gluten free. They are produced in a factory that sits on a horse farm just 3 miles from the family home.

KosherEye sampled several of the Wild Thymes products - it was hard to pick a favorite.  The Meyer Lemon Salad Refresher was outstanding and Oprah's O Magazine, January 2009, included it on the O list of "a few things we think are just great".  In addition to using it on a mixed green veggie salad, we also added it to a tuna salad mixture and to the pan sauce for sautéed fish.  We agree with Oprah - it is "just great"!

Rachael Ray's Magazine, Everyday with Rachael Ray, had a panel blind test 96 fruit based dressings and Wild Thymes Pomegranate Salad Refresher was voted #1. The judges praised the "not-too-sweet flavor".

We made the recipe for the Korean Style Short Ribs using the Korean Ginger Scallion Marinade and it was delicious!  We were not surprised that the marinade was a finalist in the 2007 International Fancy Foods Shows (NASFT) category for outstanding cooking sauces.

For tofu lovers, the Thai Chili Roasted Garlic Marinated Tofu recipe was definitely a winner. Made with their popular Thai Chili Roasted Garlic Dipping Sauce, which is a combination of garlic, hot pepper and a sweet base.  The Indian Vindaloo Curry Dipping Sauce was another favorite of ours.

We spoke with Ann Stettner, who is responsible for recipe development and we are delighted that she will be featuring suggested menus and recipes  just for KosherEye. (Coming soon)
