Galil Ela PDF Print E-mail

galil-ela The 2010 Galil Ela is a blend of 45% Syrah, 45% Barbera, 7% Petit Verdot, 3% Cabernet Franc. The wine is from the grapes of the Yiron Vineyard, in the higher elevations of the Upper Galilee.

It is dark red in color with characters of plum, sour cherry, pitanga, violet blossom and herbs, along with notes of oak and a hint of butter. A medium-to-full bodied wine with noticeable acidity and a long-lasting, pleasant finish.

The Ela is ready to drink now and If stored under proper conditions, the wine should age well for 3-5 years from time of harvest.

Try the wine with seasoned dishes such as rice cakes with lamb and herbs, pasta with red sauce and fresh herbs, barbecued chicken, or even pan-seared steak

We suggest pairing Galil Ela with this lovely Cranberry Lamb recipe created by cookbook author Sharon Lurie.
