Homemade Challah Bread Crumbs
We freeze our leftover challah weekly, and either make French toast, croutons or bread crumbs. We are sharing our favorite recipe for bread crumbs, made in our fabulous new Cuisinart FP-14N Food Processor.

Ingredients

Leftover Challah
Seasonings Optional

Directions

Preheat oven to 325°F. Bake slices of bread in a single layer for about 20 minutes or until bread is completely dried out.
Insert the large metal chopping blade into the large work bowl of the Cuisinart® Food Processor. Break toasted bread up into pieces and pulse about 10 times and then process until breadcrumbs are fine, about 25 seconds.
TIP: For seasoned breadcrumbs, add 1/4 teaspoon each dried oregano, dried basil, garlic powder, and ground onion flakes to toasted bread and process as above. Freeze and use as needed.
