Adapted from a KosherEye family recipe
This is a Quick, Easy, Delicious dessert. Perfect for Shavuos or anytime – WE even like it for breakfast.
Crust:
1 1/2 cups finely crushed graham crackers1 stick (1/2 cup) melted butter or margarine
Filling:
8 ounces cream cheese, softened at room temperature for at least 2 hours
1 cup sour cream or whole milk yogurt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
1/2 cup sugar
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine crust ingredients and press into the bottom of square 9–inch round pie pan *
Bake for 10 minutes and remove from oven. Cool.
Mix the ingredients for the filling in a blender or stand mixer and pour on top of baked crust.
Bake at 350 for 15 -20 minutes until set in center
Notes:
Yield: Serves 6 - 8
* Shortcut (We won’t tell): Use a prepared graham cracker crust – it works just as well.
