Rocky road bars texted copy

These no bake krispy, marshmallowy, peanut buttery, chocolatey treats are absolutely addictive, and simple to prepare.
Both children and adults love them.  If there are any leftovers  refrigerate, but try to serve at room temperature.

Ingredients

 Rocky Road Brownies
1 Box Duncan Hines Brownie Mix
10 ozs. marshmallow creme
1 cup creamy peanut butter
8 oz of chocolate chips or semi-sweet chocolate
4 cups Rice Krispies® cereal

Directions

Spray a 9x13 cake pan with oil. Follow directions on brownie mix box to prepare brownies. Remove from oven and immediately  spread a thick layer of marshmallow fluff. We use an offset spatula to do this.   In large pot over gently simmering water  melt chocolate and peanut butter until smooth. Remove from heat. (Alternatively, this can be done in the microwave heating in 10 second intervals until melted) Be careful not to burn mixture. Add Rice Krispies and stir until krispies are well  coated. Using an oiled or buttered spatula or spoon, evenly press mixture  over marshmallow layer. Cool for at least an hour, and serve at room temperature. This can be refrigerated overnight but serve at room temperature.

Notes

 Optional additions: 1/3 cup  peanuts or pretzels; crunchy peanut butter can be used
