What a refreshing way to enjoy nutritious, seasonal fruits!
Ingredients:
4 ounces fruit juice such as orange or pineapple
6 ice cubes
2 tablespoons sugar (optional or to taste)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla (optional)
The add what you wish list – Choose 2 or 3:
3 strawberries
1/2 peach or nectarine, stone removed
1/2 banana, peeled
2 slices pineapple
1/2 cup blueberries
2 apricots
1 apple, cored and seeded
Directions:
Combine ingredients in a Vitamix blender. Fruit is best if frozen, but fresh or canned is fine too. Freeze ripe bananas for use. Blend on high speed until smooth, thick and frothy.
Notes:
Yield: one large or two small servings
This smoothie is parve – but delicious with yogurt added as well.
