All we can say about this dish is that we have prepared it three times. Each time, our guests ate every last bite and requested the recipe. Enjoy!

1 prepared good quality flatbread or pizza crust
Crispy Pastrami Topping
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 large onions, chopped well
12 ounces turkey or beef pastrami
2 Tablespoon teriyaki sauce
2 Tablespoons sweet chili sauce
2 Tablespoon barbecue sauce
Garlic Mayonnaise*
¼ cup mayonnaise, 1 clove garlic , 1 teaspoon lemon juice, ¼ teaspoon salt
Directions
Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees
In a 12” fry pan, warm olive oil and add onions.
Saute until golden, about 15-20 minutes.
Add chopped pastrami and cook about 5 minutes more. Add sauces, and stir until combined. Remove from heat.
Separately, In a bowl, mix all garlic mayonnaise ingredients and set aside.
To Assemble:
Spread garlic mayo liberally on crust. Layer pastrami-onion mixture on top of mayo. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes. Slice into squares, triangles or rectangles.
Notes
* Shortcuts: We used JUST brand jarred garlic mayonnaise and Trader Joe’s rectangular parve pizza crust. However, any good flatbread crust would work, rectangular or round..
Note: We think that this would be delicious with corned beef as well.
Each of the Trader Joe’s 7.5-ounce crusts (2 per package) seems to provide 4-5 appetizer portions. If making more crusts, double or triple the recipe filling amounts.
