Wonderful in Winter! Our signature cocoa mix makes the most delicious rich, basic hot chocolate. Make it your own by adding marshmallows, whipped cream, cinnamon, espresso, mint, your favorite flavor or even a pour of coffee or chocolate liqueur.


1 1/4 cup cocoa – such as Hershey’s
1 ½ cup sugar
¼ teaspoons salt
1 shake of vanilla bean powder (optional)


Combine sugar, cocoa, salt and vanilla powder if using. Mix together with whisk. Pour into a glass jar and seal.
For cocoa, heat 1-cup milk with 1-2 Tablespoons of cocoa powder mixture. Remove from heat before boil. Optional: Top with whipped cream or marshmallows.

For a Mexican touch, add some cinnamon to the cocoa mix, or serve cocoa with a cinnamon stick

Store mix at room temperature in a sealed container, or in freezer 
Makes about 8-10 servings
Parve if made with dairy free milk. We suggest vanilla flavored soy or almond milk
Most rabbinical authorities consider Hershey’s Unsweetened Cocoa to be Passover friendly
