Noodles and Stir-fries can be prepared quick as a flash, while satisfying Casseroles and Stews, such as a delicious Greek Summer Stew with Lemon and Olives, are easy to prepare but benefit from slow cooking. Bakes and Gratins are great for entertaining --serve a warming Baked Spinach Mornay to delight friends and family--while Rice and Grains includes delicious recipes for risottos and pilaus, amongst others. Finally, Curries and Tagines are dishes that are packed full of flavor, such as the Thai Red Pumpkin Curry or Three Pepper Tagine with Eggs. KosherEye Cookbook Notes:
The recipes in this cookbook are appealing, easy to fix, and those who follow a vegetarian life-style will find a good variation of recipe ideas. And for those of us who wish to include more vegetarian dishes in our menu, this cookbook offers great one-dish opportunities. The recipes can be included in the menu as main courses or side dishes. Do note that vegetarian cheese substitutes are an ingredient in several of the recipes. The "cheese" types mentioned may not be available to the kosher consumer, but since we are accustomed to improvise with ingredients, it should not be a problem. This is a nice cookbook to have in your library and will be of use when you need a quick vegetarian recipe.
For Your Information:
As you enjoy reading about these fabulous cookbooks, some featured cookbooks have recipes, or indeed chapters with recipes that have non−kosher ingredients. No worries! KosherEye and our team of knowledgeable cookbook authors, chefs and foodies will help you find, convert and substitute ingredients to create kosher recipes. To get you started, we are providing an initial, basic list of kosher substitutions. As is the case with many outstanding cookbooks, this is a worthwhile exercise, which enables the kosher cook to have access to some of the world’s greatest, classical and most contemporary recipes, created by experts in their field.
