This is Daniella's third cookbook. . . the first two were in the Silver Platter series, and were both bestsellers.
Once again, she keeps it simple and delicious. This time she shares ideas on how to vary a recipe - so the reader is not bogged down with cooking. Each recipe in the book includes a separate variation of that recipe, encouraging creativity and versatility. Most dishes can be made family style or for company. The photo on each page displays both the main recipe and the variation, so home cooks can see how each dish should look when served. The book offers 120 recipes, each with a variation.
When we receive a cookbook to consider for feature, we add "stick-ums"-to recipes we particularly like and want to try. We can report that this book is filled with our little post-it bookmarks. Many of the recipes have gluten free options; the photography is beautiful; the recipes we tried are scrumptious. Some of our favorites include jasmine coconut and cranberry rice, Crustless baby red potato quiche and Crispy Popcorn fish bites. (we made the fillet variation. Variations is advertised as 120 recipes, but there are actually over 200 including all of the variations. From Daniella: "I wrote Variations because I felt it’s time to change things up,” Daniella says....I want readers to get creative with the foods they prepare by understanding that a recipe can be versatile in preparation or presentation.” The possibilities are endless~
