Knife Block
A KALEIDOSCOPE for the Kosher Kitchen!
WOW! These knives are on the cutting edge! We have never seen, nor used, a more amazing set of cutting implements. Each of the knives in the Pure Komachi 2 series are brightly colored from tip to end, each a different, brilliant, bold color, making them easy to identify, and fun to use. They certainly make our creative juices raring to slice!
Although the knives are available individually, we particularly like the set of 8 which fit into a clear acrylic holder and make a chic addition to any counter-top by adding a rainbow of color!
So, how is this done?
According to the manufacturer, the brilliant blade color is achieved by bonding a food-safe FDA approved resin to high carbon stainless steel blades. The knives are lightweight, easy to grip and “ergonomically comfortable” and with their razor-sharp edges seem to glide right through foods. (Watch those fingers!) In addition to the visual effect, the technology and color coding do have a serious purpose: to help avoid cross contamination in food preparation.
In addition to the irresistible colors and functionality, why do we like them so much for our KosherEye friends? Of course, it’s the “off label” result of these multi-colored knives. The set offers the kosher cook quite a bonus… an easy, instantaneous way to identify and separate meat and milk cutlery. Finding an appropriate knife is a cinch… and yes, they are dishwasher safe!
We think that this is quite a sharp gift for Hanukkah, for a new bride or for everyday giving! Our point is that these knives are unique, stylish, functional and irresistibly colorful—a vibrant addition to any kitchen counter especially when displayed in the 8 piece clear acrylic block!
