Rubbermaid – For The Kitchen

Organize, Store, Serve

rubbermaidRubbermaid began in 1920 as the Wooster Rubber Company, a maker of toy balloons. In 1934, the company pioneered the rubber housewares business with the introduction of the first rubber dustpan! And, then in 1955, the company produced its first plastic product; a dishpan. This unglamorous but useful product launched the Wooster Rubber Company into the housewares business. The Wooster Rubber Company changed its corporate name to Rubbermaid Inc in 1957.  And over 40 years later, in 1999, Rubbermaid Inc. merged with the Newell Co. and formed Newell Rubbermaid Inc.
