Rebbetzin Lori and Rabbi Yaakov Palatnik are internationally known Jewish leaders. Lori has inspired Jewish women, from all over the world, to embark on the journey of a lifetime. She is one of the founders of The Jewish Women's Renaissance Project (JWRP), which was established in 2008 for the purpose of empowering Jewish women to change the world. The flagship program, T.A.G. (Transform and Grow) offers women a special gift: a highly subsidized 9 day action-packed trip to Israel. Women travel as a group, grow as a group and continue their journey back to their communities together. They share a common vision of self growth and personal development to reach their potential as Jewish women, wives, mothers and community members. To date the Jewish Women's Renaissance Project has brought over 3,000 women from over 40 cities and 7 different on this mission to Israel.
Since 2005, the Palatniks have lived in Washington, D.C., where Rabbi Palatnik is executive director of Aish DC. They have five children. Lori is a well-known author and Jewish educator who has appeared on television and radio and has lectured world-wide. Her weekly video blog, "Lori Almost Live" can be seen at Aish.com and is viewed by over 50,000 people per month. The two have co-authored the book "Remember my Soul". We are delighted to share these Shabbos recipes from the Palatnik Shabbos table.
